Who We Are

We are a group of Ellis County residents who are concerned about the health of the community, our environment, and the future of our children.

We are currently being railroaded by Magnablend and ignored by our local government. Magnablend is a chemical company that handles hazardous and possibly toxic chemicals in the production of fracking fluids, pesticides, and waste water treatment chemicals.

Ellis County Concerned Citizens is comprised of residents in unincorporated parts of Waxahachie, City of Waxahachie, Maypearl, and other nearby towns and cities.

Our group consists of residents who are opposed to Magnablend's efforts to move into an unzoned area of our county that is immediately surrounded by agricultural land and residential properties. The new location is adjacent to a dairy farm that distributes milk nationally and near other property used for agricultural activities.

We also have a large number of members that were affected by the October 3, 2011 fire at the Magnablend Central Facility.

Our County Commissioners' Court have been unwilling to support residents, have been less than transparent, and are ignoring our concerns.

We are in the process of seeking legal remedies to prevent this from happening and will exhaust all available legal avenues.

Like you, we want to enjoy our peaceful community, protect our environment from toxic and hazardous chemicals, prevent contamination of our domestic food supply, protect our health, and provide our children with a safe environment to grow up in.
